Extremely rare British Minimoog, made after the Moog trademark became available, and was snapped up by an enthusiast based in Caerphilly, Wales. Harking back to the original, this was totally hand-made, and very well made too. Also sounding very good - this isn't just a highly collectable super-rarity.
Differences from the first Minimoog include MIDI IN/OUT/THRU and PWM. The main visual difference is that it seems the original rocker switches were unavailable, and the 204E uses switches that are more ARP-like (and thus also a bit wobbly and less solid to use).
Historically very important in the whole Moog story, as the enthusiast retained the UK rights even after his company went into liquidation. That meant that Moog were unable to use the Moog brand for Voyagers sold in the UK, and also meant an extended and expensive legal battle to try to re-claim the brand.
The bottom line is that as well as being one of the ultimate synth rarities, this is a very good sounding classic analogue monosynth, in very nice condition.
Switchable voltage - please supply your own IEC lead. Free packing - we'll use an excellent condition carton from a new Minimoog.
