A bit of music history, perfect for a museum. In 2011, Richard James aka Aphex Twin was invited with Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead) to cooperate with famous composer Penderecki in Poland https://www.culturecongress.eu/en/event/penderecki_greenwood_aphex/
Aphex Twin had to conduct a large orchestra. He explained in interviews hes no good at reading music, and he had never conducted musicians, so he told the orchestra what to do by using an adapted MicroKontrol.
I bought this at Vemia a long time ago.
Theres no written proof this is the one, but everyone knows Aphex Twin sells things on Vemia, GX1 in the last auction, PS3300, the CS5 with the Ambient Works sleeve-notes inscribed on the bottom and look at the photos. The video stills are from the actual concert which are online in loads of places. This has got to be that actual MicroKontrol! Lots of interviews as well about the concert. Pitchfork etc Probably doesnt work but thats not the point. VEMIA note: this is certainly the same one that we sold maybe ten years ago. Definitely SOLD AS SEEN! Packing 9GBP. |
