Ghielmetti 621 Matrix with LEDs |
| Description |
This auction is for a huge Ghielmetti 621 matrix (350mm x 280mm), a large format matrix with pins and holes slightly bigger than the Sealectros used on EMS equipment and twice the size of the Ghielmetti 321s.
It's a 29 column by 40 row matrix, custom manufactured by Ghielmetti for use as a control board on an industrial CNC machine. It also features a row of LEDs directly above the matrix, as well as a great looking 1970s design front panel. It comes with 20 pins, fitted with diodes to prevent crosstalk in the matrix. There's also a switch and a pot on the panel that you can rewire as you prefer.
The matrix is prewired via multicore cable to an Ericcson LM 80-pin connector (male) and this auction includes three LM 80-pin female connectors. With this set-up you can re-connect the entire matrix with a change of one plug, allowing it to be swapped between different sets of hardware wired to the three LM-80 connectors. If you prefer to bypass the Ericcson LM connector it can be easily desoldered from the Ghielmetti and your own wiring soldered directly to the matrix's lugs.
This is the perfect matrix to form the centrepiece of a modular or test equipment setup, big enough to work comfortably and clearly, with tons of vibe. |
