 Make Lexicon
Model 1300S Digital Audio Delay Sync
Description Lexicon 1300S, stereo broadcast delay, clockable. Good used state, fully functional. 340ms delay per channel (expandable). These boxes are a pro-studio classic used to add predelay functionality to EMT plates and other vintage reverbs. They were build to the highest possible standards at the time concerning sound and reliability - cost no object. Featuring Jensen transformer balanced custom analogue in and output stages, high spec 16bit Burr Brown and Sony converters (the same ones used by the PPG Waveterm B samplers), custom discrete analogue brickwall filters and a meaty linear powersupply (220V internally switchable). The sound could be described as transparent with some lovely vintage digital glitter. This one comes with the optional synchronizer card that should (haven’t tried it) allow clocking and modulating the delay with a square wave from a modular synth. Add an external feedback loop via your mixing platform of choice and you are in for some special sounds. I have a complete set of original service documentation on its way from my tech, that I will add in a second lot in this auction. So that servicing the unit or even upgrading the memory if at all necessary shouldn’t be a problem.
