Gold DVA /Royer tube microphone |
Description |
A gold U47 clone, with S747 written on the body.
Where this mic originates from was an LA mystery.. I traced the mic to being a Royer made one, from Royer's previous company based in LA called DVA.
Read about that story in this thread at GearSlutz: http://www.gearslutz.com/board/high-end/465828-trying-trace-story-mic.html
(VEMIA note: here's a quote from the Royer website:- 'Building gear under the Mojave and DVA labels, he created a number of condenser mics that have become somewhat legendary among a small group of high-end audio engineers including Bob Clearmountain, Mutt Lang and Sean Beaven. ') |
