| Description |
A wonderful synth, but needing quite a lot of servicing. Still a great instrument to play for percussion and abstract noises - the speakers and reverb are very nice.
Most of it is in decent working condition, but we noticed the following faults:-
15 slider shafts snapped - 6 or so are very difficult to use without a sharp object, and the others are usable as is.
Initial gain, VCF cutoff, and some other sliders are noisy.
The keyboard voltage is a bit iffy especially up high, and seems to be only monophonic - and can droop on long notes. The ring mod is not working.
Cosmetically, apart from the broken sliders (and thus missing tops) it is pretty good. The panel is good apart from where some wear has resulted in slider slots where sharp instruments have had to be used.... There is a missing bolt; some tolex is drooping off the inside of a lid; at least one catch is broken; the keyboard has a missing little slider top.
A very good servicing project, though, because it is such a wonderful and valuable instrument when fully restored.
