Rotel RZ8 Mixer/Drum Machine – something for the DJ who has everything.
Fantastic mixer / drum machine / echo unit from (by the looks of it) the late 1970’s / early 1980’s. Mixer section features two stereo line inputs and two stereo phono inputs each with cross fader. In addition there are three front panel inputs with selectable impedance (600, 50k & 200k ohm). The drum machine features ten rhythms each with three variations. The echo is very basic. Inside the unit, the basic functions have separate boards, with the drum machine and echo having easily accessible trimpots. The current settings have been returned to what looks like the default, although the kick drum in particular can be set up for a very phat sound. Supplied in a cheap Thomann 5U rack case. This unit is quite heavy, about 20kg?
