TOM Drum Machine
Excellent condition. S/N 17, circa 1985. A great wee vintage drum machine. Very easy to play and program. Eight-bit digital samples, eight on-board sounds. Capacity of 100 patterns, 100 songs. It has MIDI, of course, but also has a PPQN clock in and out and a programmable trigger out. This makes it really useful when syncing old trigger/gate gear with MIDI gear.
Has neat features like ‘reframe’ (repositions the start point of the pattern), ‘improv’ (events are played back some of the time), ‘human factor’ (tuning and level variations), ‘stack’ (to create flams), as well as the usual tuning, level, tempo and pan adjustments.
This unit is running very sweet, and comes with four sound-set ROM cards (Contemporary, Basic, Effects, Latin), a copy of the operating manual and external power supply (set for 230V-240V operation) - if bought in UK we will change the plug to a UK one. Weighs 3.55kg, measures 44.5x23x7cm. This and all the other Sequential items in this section were featured in the definitive book ‘The Prophet from Silicon Valley – the Complete Story of Sequential Circuits’ by David Abernethy.
They all come from David’s personal studio, and have been carefully shipped over from New Zealand to VEMIA on a shock-protected pallet, so that further shipping costs are reasonable.
