24-8 mixer with meter bridge |
Description |
This fantastically capable mixer was in use in the VEMIA office/ home studio for years, until 2021 - replaced by a Midas Venice I couldn't resist. We weren't using all inputs/outputs but never noticed any crackling from any pot or slider. The meter bridge is very useful - but does have two or three channels showing spurious meter activity which isn't reflected in the audio output. The bridge fixings at either end are missing a piece, so that the bridge doesn't sit at whatever angle you decide - until you source the replacement parts or, it looks like, make a little cone-shaped wooden piece to tighten them. Cosmetically, it looks great from a distance but close-up shows signs of some oxidation in places on the front panel. All sockets look bright and un-oxidised, though. All knobs and faders present and correct. No missing segments noticed on LCD meters. Quiet and powerful. The external power supply is a serious piece of kit. It has sat unused for a couple of years in the warehouse, so will almost certainly need some exercising / minor work. Packing 40GBP. |
