 Make Sony
 Model DRE-2000 Digital Reverb s/n 100014
Description One of the great vintage digital reverbs, this DRE-2000 serial number 100014 is one of the famous earliest versions which were sent out to prestige studios and institutions as Sony aimed to conquer the high-end market. These few 'sample' machines were then recalled by Sony, and most seem to have disappeared. This example has been painstakingly serviced by Steve at Benden Technology - possibly the most experienced tech with DRE2000s in Europe. His full two-page report on work carried out will be included. In it he describes this machine's sound as more pleasing than the production versions. 'I spend a lot of time listening to Lexicon 224s and the v1 Sony sounded a bit more 'Lexicon-y' '. Distortion in delay mode 0.05% (spec is 0.3%), noise floor -74dBu, bandwidth to 14kHz, flat within +/- 1dB - all comparable with a Lexicon 224. Switchable voltage. Original user manual. Packing 14GBP.
