Mod 80 |
Description |
This early 1980's Digisound 80 Modular is in excellent fully working condition. The 30 modules have been constructed to a very high standard and are arranged in a strong, nicely made, custom cabinet. The complement of modules which are mostly all Curtis Chip based includes: 4 x '80-02' VCOs,4 x '80-21' VCDOs digital wavetable eprom based oscillators (These have their own separate power supply)nice big LEDs on these as well,4 x 80-6 Filters, being Lowpass,Highpass,Bandpass and Phase shift,An 80-7a State variable(multimode)VCF and a custom made Moog 24db Lowpass ladder filter.3 x 80-4a Voltage controlled mixers,2 x 80-18a Dual EG,1 x 80-10 Voltage controlled envelope,1 x 80-3 VC LFO,1 x 80-19 Dual VCLFO,1 x 80-11 Dual ring modulator,1 x 80-5 Processor,1 x 80-9 Dual VCA,1 x 80-12 Noise & Sample and Hold,1 x 80-13 External input,1 x 80-14 Stereo Power Amplifier with headphone socket,Custom Output Processor and Power switch CV/Gate interface panel including a 6 pin din socket for a Roland System 100m '181 Keyboard' and multiple mini-jack sockets for CV/Gate outputs. The system uses mini-jack patch leads and is easily interfaced with all 1 volt / octave equipment or your MIDI / CV converter etc. Overall this is a complicated modular system with tremendous control possibilities which has proved very reliable and great fun to use over the many years I have owned it. The Digisound has had a recent complete service including a full calibration of the modules where required. I am including the original manual which includes a detailed step by step guide to synthesis using the Digisound 80 and the construction notes with user guide for each module. There is also a copy manual in the blue file which I used so as to keep the original perfect. There are also a number of spare Knobs,a Module panel and some connectors as well. It has a nice long mains lead terminated with a UK mains plug and has been used in a smoke free environment. VEMIA can almost certainly collect for onward delivery or shipping. |
